Are the pins standard for all FPC camera connections?
Like, if I were to get the https://www.ebay.com/itm/335350184796 camera, would that just match my zero, or would I need to find out what pins go to where for that specific item (and likely not get a response from the seller)?

I've got my zero and got a kernel built and gentoo building out my system now.

I've been looking at the "raspberry-pi-zero-reduced-schematics.pdf" and see the pinouts for the FPC connector.

I also just now had the idea to look at the kernel source Kconfigs to find what cameras are supported, and to take that further, look at the git log to see the order of introduction (to get an idea what may be the "latest" (not guaranteed)). That's what got me to look for "GC0308". I looked at newer stuff, but they really didn't have any being sold or was way more than what I wanted to spend.

I was reading other posts about people asking if they could harvest cameras from old smartphones, and that pretty much looks to be out of the realm of being doable. 1) Having a module for it (eg, see if the linux kernel already supports it), 2) matching up pins (needing a datasheet that most likely won't be found).
