It's not implemented in Pi5 DPI; neither is Composite Sync which you might need if you were hoping to generate TV timings. And (just to be pedantic) half-lines and Equalizing Pulses are alien concepts to DPI and DRM/KMS, so true TV timings were never possible.
[As for "fake" modes in VEC (Composite Video Out), they exist purely to work around UI issues due to aspect ratios of some progressive modes. By faking the height of the picture, the frame-buffer seems to have squarer pixels. Nobody is forced to use them. True interlaced and progressive modes are also available from VEC.]
