That's not the subject!ive done testing, and found that you dont need any config changesI am running a Pi5 with latest 6.6.30-git kernel. I am trying to turn off HDMI completely for headless operation .
simply booting with the hdmi unplugged is enough to reduce the power usage
The Q is if these overlay options actually do what they are designed for. The existence of that cmdline option could point to a
flaw in the system.
