Well, you have three sensors:
* one 2320 : is considered as reliable ; needs special software.
* on US sensor : some consider as a PITA; needs special software and hardware adaptation (RC dividers). Solution when it breaks exist.
and :
* soil moisture sensor: manufacturer/Ali express claims parts of it do not get corroded (some other soil moisture sensors melt in the ground, after 6 month/1year of use: for automation, it is most unpleasant) Aliexpress claims it is a digital sensor (soil is wet or dry: there is a adjustable resistor to decide whether it is dry: assumption -among many others- is that ... adjustable resistor remains stable, in a somewhat hostile environment -very moist, rather warm- )
I have my doubts on the soil sensor

I have a PH sensor

I am not relying on it for accuracy, I just added it because it was cheap

I'm using litmus paper going oldschool for actually checking my PH
I read somewhere that they recommended these stainless steel probes instead of the cathodes one, just in terms of durability. I am unsure about how well it will perform. It should be ok just to measure moisture...I hope.
In regards to PH measuring, I am getting a meter to stick in the soil and I am also playing it safe and going the old school route of measuring PH/NPK via Liquid Soil Test kit

I'm growing in coco, hydroponically

I have no faith in the PH sensors but I have a lot of experience with them AND they fail a lot even commercial ones

I can make a reservoir up blind at this point and still get it right first time without the meters

They're more because I can than because I need to I will ignore them if they give me crazy readings and use my EC pen and some Litmus paper that works 4-9 PH zone

I'm expecting nothing to change though but I'm recirculating this time which can cause issues

As for soil

I think it depends on what you mean by soil on if you need to worry about PH and of course what you are growing

Always stainless if you can and it's practical I'm using a fair bit

I would use more but the cost
