I had a Crucial P3 1TB NvME stick, which is supported by Pimoroni.
I used Pi Imager (on my PC) with the drive in a USB enclosure.
I took the stick out of the enclosure, and installed it with the Pimoroni NvME Base.
I also have an RTC battery, an Active cooler and a Pi Module_3 camera.
It just worked!
Updates all done and Allsky installed and running.
On boot, it uses (at max) 1.22a. Normal running is around 0.5a
No SDCards were harmed in this process ... and I'm very happy with both the process and the result.
I got a 5.1v buck -> USB-C unit too, so I can run it off 12V
Now for a cloudless night
