We have a Raspberry Pi 4 and a Raspberry Pi 400. the 400 stopped working for some reason, the screen is dark after boot. We didn't make any changes. After we power it on, we see the power light comes on and after a short while the display monitor says there is no signal. so that tells me some sort of signal is sent via HDMI, but nothing comes up. Not sure it's a display problem, we made changes in the config file for the micro SD card to boost the HDMI signal, but nothing helped. How do you know if the Raspberry pi is even booted. I used to work for Broadcom and we can connect UART to it and read the logs, how can you do that?
when we use the same microSD card, the same power cable, same HDMI cable and same monitor on Raspberry Pi 4, it boots up with no problem. the power cable supplies up to 3A. This is my son's device, I would take it apart to probe it. but he doesn't want to take it apart, because we'll have to force the case open and he's afraid of breaking something.
