I think it might be better in the people that put the raspberry pi packages together put it on there things to do, I am using the march 2024 all raspberry pi versions with some extra software that comes with the OS
You must also realise that the people who wrote the software will not read your comments about it here. If you really have discovered a bug, and it's reproducible, you'll have to find out where the development is done, and submit a bug report there. At some point in the future (could be months or years away) the fixed version of the software will appear in the OS image and repositories. Until that time you'll have to apply the fix (whatever it is) yourself locally.
