Have you actually tried that? Last time I looked in to it displaylink v1 hardware would probably work but v2 would not. Well, not unless you used the closed source drive on x86 Ubuntu.
Closed source, yes.
Limited to x86, no.

The Software contains binaries which work on i686, amd64, armv7 and aarch64 architectures.
Supported Linux Kernel version range is from 4.15 to 6.8.
Minimum supported Xorg version is 1.16, minimum supported Mutter (Wayland) version is 3.32.

Fair enough. Like I said "last time I looked into it". It is limited to Ubuntu though so no RPiOS :(
