I'm looking for a way to trigger an output so i can have a light if there is internet present and no light if the internet is down. is this possible on a nano?
No. Cause there ain't no such thing as a Raspberry Pi Nano.
It should be possible on a PicoW or any full fat Pi. Just ping a server and turn on the LED if you get a response.
