Beginners • Browser page jumps position on refresh

I have a problem with the internet browser chromium jumping position after scrolling down any page. It seems to do this on every page that is larger than one screen, when the page refreshes or reloads automatically. It does this a few to many times a minute, making it unusable. [I have to use my windows 10 computer to get on the forum.] I have tried memory saver on/off, preload pages on/off. Finally i reset the settings back to default.

Using apt, I got the latest version of firefox and same exact issue.

Scoured the settings, forum and internet for some clue to this problem, either I am searching wrong terms or no one else has had this problem.

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction to fix this because no one else seems to have this problem. I have enough experience to figure most things out but I need some guidance on this one. Any other info needed I will cheerfully provide.

Thanks in advance.

Raspberry Pi 400, fresh out of the box this week. Followed all the initialization instructions, and otherwise works fine.
After this issue I performed an upgrade to make sure everything is the latest.
