From my point of view using an AI to search a document for passages relevant to replaceable batteries is useful. The value judgement made by the AI that "this is a significant step towards reducing electronic waste and empowering consumers to extend the lifespan of their devices" appears less useful.I asked it to specifically search for any text that is directly about user replaceable batteries and it actually found the specific part of the regulation as i have mentioned. AI is already being used for many different reasons and summarizing or searching within a document is a perfect use of its functions. So why do you think it is bullshit? Why do you think it is spam?
