Hi,
I just bought a new PI 5, the Canakit. Nice little setup. It would not power on, so I took it out of the case for a closer look. I applied the USB-C power, and there was just one red blink of the LED. Well that is not good... disconnected the fan and removed the microSD. Same thing. I searched on line a bit and it led me here with people talking about power supplies. I figured no way this should be an issue, I used my laptop supply. I think it is 100W or so. I pulled out the supply it came with, and.... voila! It powered up. This is 2024 and the age of ubiquitous USB-C, what gives?
Thanks,
j
PS... I am logged it.. I hate captchas so much. Is this an everytime thing?
