Couple of things:

1. When you say that you have tried re-flashing the Pi 5 with "the correct Netboot which was created using the Pi Imager with Network Boot chosen. That didn't do a thing", what did it actually do? Did you get the fast flashing ACT light and a green display on HDMI, or did the Pi 5 simply ignore it? If you did get the fast flashing ACT light and green on HDMI, then the Pi 5 should be back to normal.

2. Have you tried a different switch port, and a different cable?

3. How are you powering the Pi 5?

4. Can you try disconnecting the Pi 5 from your current setup, and booting it with an HDMI screen attached - does it produce a display? You should get the red and white network install screen. Attach a keyboard and press ESC and it should take you back to the bootloader EEPROM diagnostic screen. If so, what date does it report for the bootloader EEPROM (top line of display)?

5. Following on from 4, attach a known working Ethernet cable to a known working port on a switch, then at the network install screen, hold down SHIFT on your keyboard until it registers that you have done so, then wait for it to attempt Network Install boot - does the Ethernet interface come up? The lights should come on on the magjack, and HTTP boot should start. (You will probably need a working DHCP server on your network for this to be successful).
1. Sorry, I should have been more explicit on "didn't do a thing". It did flash it, got the green screen and flashing ACT LED.

2. Yes, I swapped out the cable and tried another port on my switch. Actually, I used the same cable and port that worked when I made the ethernet connection using a USB/Ethernet adapter.

3. At the time when I flashed the Pi 5 with the old Pi4 SD card, I was powering with a POE Hat. After running into to the issue, i've since removed the Hat and just powering with a standard Pi 5v/5A power supply.

4. At the network install screen (red and white) pressing the esc key gives me a bootloader with the date, 2024/06/05. And that is with a freshly flashed netboot SD from Pi Imager. Should note, I had to remove the OS SD card to get the network screen to load.

5. Under net: it says it's down, listing no IP. I do have a dhcp server on the network, running on a Ubiquiti UDP Pro, but not setup for tftp services. Attached is a screen shot of the net install
