How many Pi5s would that be?
How many Pi5s would that be?
Forum contributor Roy Longbottom has a large collection of benchmarks that might allow this comparison to be made.
I think the answer might be that a single RPi 4 or RPi[5] has more raw compute power than a Cray. (Usual caveats about benchmarks not being the same as 'real world' behaviour.)
Examples, in the thread at viewtopic.php?t=363656, but only for a Cray 1. Not clear what the uplift was from a Cray 1 to a Cray 2.

The Pi 4 reaches 11.8 GFLOPS and the Pi 5 30.2 GFLOPS while performing the same calculation.

If anyone on this forum purchases a Cray 2, it would be nice to translate the Pi Pie Chart program to Cray Fortran and check what the Pi ratio is.
