This issue was reported before regarding F2FS, but in my case the sdcard partition is, I think, being read because I don't get a shell, I get a graphic screen on HDMI that simply says this OS does not support Raspberry Pi 5. There was another thread that suggests things should be compatible and it should just work, but this isn't happening, and both of those threads are now locked..
I'm using 64-bit Debian 12 that currently runs many apps on a pi 4B+ that was upgraded from Bulldog. In that above F2FS thread, they do offer this fix:
I'm using 64-bit Debian 12 that currently runs many apps on a pi 4B+ that was upgraded from Bulldog.
Code:
Linux nextcloudpi 6.1.21-v8+ #1642 SMP PREEMPT Mon Apr 3 17:24:16 BST 2023 aarch64 GNU/Linux
so perhaps my question becomes: how do I know the sdcard is F2FS and if I set this value in the pi4 (because it boots with this card) is there a danger it will no longer boot because of an invalid setting?Pi 5 defaults to 16k pages but that isn't compatible with F2FS. Set kernel=kernel8.img to config.txt to make it use the 4k page kernel.
