This case is not specified in the datasheet, but it is a good practice in electronics, otherwise you should expect the unexpected.I've also noticed that if I put a voltage above the reference voltage on another ADC pin then there's some unfortunate leakage onto the pin I'm measuring starting at 1.52V and the RP2040 ADC starts seeing it at around 1.61V.
