As in once per year or month wear? Gaffer/duct tape. Then you can adjust it each outing with new bits.

For my similar uses, I use a wood/plastic sheet to mount the Pi and a smaller breadboard with room to attach other connectors. Easily drill holes for bolts. If you solder the end of a wire before insertion into the breadboard, you can make the jumper wires the exact length and have them fold flat and flush to the surface of the board for easy taping.

Soldering the end of the wire is the easiest way to learn soldering. Buy a 100 m role of wire and practice on 5 mm at a time. You should become a neat solderer before you run out of wire. :D
