I've started making different projects with my laser cutter and came up with making these Pi covers. I didn't like having a plastic case sitting on my mid century TV/Stereo cabinet so I got creative and came up with a simple design that is easy to access all the ports and can be used if you are using a HAT or multiple HATs and no case is available for your build. I make them with cooling in mind as well even though the sides are open. I wanted to make sure the geekpi heatsink and fan I'm using wasn't getting choked down. I've never had any heat issues even overclocked and pushing it, the highest temps I've seen was 67c degrees. The mounting holes pattern is the standard 58mmX49mm and uses the m2.5 screws and stand offs.
I know these are stupid simple and rather novel but I couldn't find anything I liked that was premade and just happened to have a laser cutter. I can also switch them out easily. The large covers are 101.600mmX101.600mm or 4"X4" in freedom units and the small covers are 69.850mmX107.034mm - 2.75"X4.2140" and 3mm thick. The large covers I make them so it they can stand vertically and the cables be routed out the back with 90 degree cables & adaptors so they are hidden and cut in a slot to hold the ethernet cable to the back also.
I could do custom designs also. I'm working on a NES cartridge Retro Pi design right now and adjusting the hex design I made really quick to mount a oled in for a project I was doing (the paint is awful because I was trying out a textured paint). I have them make to order so that way if someone wants it stained or natural. I do plan on using acrylic eventually but due to funding I can't at the moment.
I sell them for $8 for the designs I have made already and custom is $10-$15 depending on the design.
I started doing this along with some other projects after blowing my back out to help get some income.
