We've now moved to Network manager; you don't normally go manually editing the config files on that; so the instructions that you had are most likely for the previous dhcpcd system of network control.Hi I have a Raspberry pi5 with a hat with SSD with bookworm installed on it. I have a problem it connects to wifi networks but as soon as I try to open an internet page or the update command it disconnects from wifi. some time ago using microsd instead of the ssd and I had a similar problem, solved by adding and changing configurations via terminal, I think with the nano command but I can't find the forum anymore and I don't remember what I changed. can someone help me?
Sounds like an issue with your local connection.
Try moving the Pi close to the wifi transmitter.
Are you using a metal case?
Do you have any other wireless devices close by? Wireless KBD/Mouse, Baby alarm etc etc.
Are you using the onboard WiFi adaptor or is it an external one?
Have you set the WiFi country code correctly?
What channel are you using? 5/2.5?
what is the output from ifconfig?
