That is just my experience. You could use strace to see what your app does w.r.t. USB serial. It is not my app, I am not on this forum to do SW development for you, you need to figure out yourself.You sait that the way USB serial chips are treated has changed in Linux at some point in time. Where can I find some more info about this? ?This might give me some ideas. I've looked into serial port library that I use in my app, doesn't really let me do anything differently.
