I also saw an RPT changed/variant of initramfs-tools got installed when doing update/upgrade.I got quite irritated by it as this 'RPiOS Bookworm' is supposed to be like 'Debian stable'. I do not know what has changed.
Reality for me is that 'RPiOS Bookworm' has become like Debian Testing or a rolling release like openSUSE Tumbleweed. Luckily I do not wipe my storage with those pre-installed images so my existing initramfs.conf is not overwritten.
Code:
# apt list -a initramfs-toolsListing... Doneinitramfs-tools/stable,now 0.142+rpt1+deb12u1 all [installed,automatic]initramfs-tools/stable 0.142+deb12u1 all
