I think it is more likely that RPL does not spend enough time shouting very loudly as to why their USB-PD PSU is better/different (due to the 5V/5A optional mode) and what you would need to look for in alternate USB-PD supplies to get equivalent behaviour. Most folks assume all USB power supplies are the same, and an even greater number assume all USB-PD supplies are the same.It's interesting how we produce a high-quality, fully compliant power supply for just £11.60 (including VAT) in the UK, yet some people still choose other options to save only a pound or two. That’s less than the price of a cup of coffee. I can somewhat understand if someone already has a power supply, but still, it’s surprising!
Its not like they are hiding anything, but apparently electricity is like magic and reading specs is hard.
