I would have thought that someone with good electronic engineering skills would be able to reverse engineer the PoE hat and NVME hat and determine what components are required for the Pi 500 board.

I wouldn’t expect the Pi500 PCB to be radically different enough from a Pi 5 PCB to make it impossible.

you only need a socket, check if 3.3V supply is present and if something reasonable is on the control signals (just a few).
Jeff from YouTube tried putting on just the socket but said it didn't work as he thinks there is no power components for it. I was hoping Raspberry would provide the schematic for the 500 like the one you linked for the hat.
