Off topic discussion • Re: how to make rotary style switches work for radio project

The radio has a built in record player. My plan was to replace the old record player with a new one I have that has a Bluetooth function built into it. One of the switches I was hoping to make work with the vinyl player to change whether Bluetooth or vinyl is played instead of the dedicated switch on the vinyl player. As stated the other switches would be for power and volume control. The forth switch would not be in use as there is no need for another. I just want to turn one knob on to power the entire unit, turn another knob to select the media type (vinyl or Bluetooth), and turn the final knob to be able to control the volume being omitted. Thank you
You could use a rotary SPST switch for power
e.g. https://uk.farnell.com/lorlin/rms1035/r ... bdb2ca9137

Volume potentiometers with integrated on/off switch used to be common. That would provide power on/off and volume in one.

You would have to investigate how to bring the Bluetooth/Phono function switch out to the front panel. Maybe unsolder the existing switch and bring wires out to rotary switch with the same pole and contact configuration.
