So you are providing your own 'time.h' ... that might have something to do with it.

I would be included to start a Proof of Concept project, a minimal 'main.c' and the files which are proving problematic, see if that can build standalone.

Or maybe start by renaming them 'xtime.c', 'xtime.h', see how that goes.
