Just to clarify, my commit is in cyw43-driver already: https://github.com/georgerobotics/cyw43 ... 53f77660ee Though it is on the main branch, there has not been a new "release" of cyw43-driver yet. micropython currently points to release 1.0.3.
As hippy notes, it should eventually trickle its way into both micropython and pico-sdk. But because both projects include cyw43-driver as a git submodule, which is tied to a specific commit, someone will have to bump them. pico-sdk already bumped their version because of my issue. I just opened an issue for this in micropython https://github.com/micropython/micropython/issues/16624
