I'm sure that the physical and electrical structure of the pads is the same for all GPIO pins. Unless you have used the same external hardware with UART0 and UART5 then you are comparing apples and oranges.

I am now using the Raspberry Pi 4 board and communication works well.

I hope your Pi 4 isn't also in danger - I'm sure the CM4 worked well until it didn't.
