Hey, so I'm new to the Raspberry Pi, but I'm not new to Linux. I was initially going to make a post about how RPi OS changed my password, however with some digging I came to the realization that what it actually did was change my chosen keyboard layout, resulting in essentially the same effect - I wasn't able to login, at least not until I could decipher where all the keys I needed were on this mystical layout.
It was working fine until suddenly I couldn't log in. My hunch is that it is using the en_GB layout but without having such a keyboard, I can't be sure. I am baffled as to how this change happened since I chose the Swedish layout when I flashed the sdcard and no other layout should even be installed. It's worth noting that once logged in, the desired layout as shown in the screenshot is used - this only occurs on the login screen. Is it possible I inadvertently hit some hotkey that changed it?
I can't think of another reason why this happened but the bottom line is, I need to change it back so I can log in without having to memorize yet another keyboard layout. The Swedish layout is already firmly burned in my mind to the point I barely can use a standard en_US or en_CA layout even with the relevant keyboard right in front of me. Does anyone know if there's a way I can either switch the layout back or force it to use the system's layout? I've already tried changing the locale which was set to en_GB for some reason, but this had no effect. Distros like Linux Mint allow you to both view and change the layout at login. It would be great if a similar option existed here. At any rate, any suggestions would be much appreciated!
