Hey Pi Forum. Very early on begginer here.
Ive recently bought a PI Zero WH, and a LCD screen: https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/4inch_DPI_LCD_(C)
The issue im having is the screen plugs directly into all 40 of the GPIO pins, leaving me no options for buttons/sensors etc.
Its very handy to slot straight in...but I cant even power the thing down safely. Id like to atleast add a power button.
How might I get around this use of all the pins?
Besides buying a new LCD screen, are there any ways to extend the pins somehow, or daisy chain them?
Very new to this...
Thanks!
Possibly something like https://thepihut.com/products/raspio-breakout or https://thepihut.com/products/hat-hacker-hat.
You will need to carefully read the documentation for the display in conjunction with a Pinout diagram such as https://pinout.xyz/ to determine which pins you can control for your own use.
