It should be fine, it is basically just a low use file server with a posh front end.
Jellyfin and LibreElec are alternatives.
But the Pi5 doesn't convert files (transcode) very well at all M, so if your files can just be streamed as the file they are all of good, if not it just doesn't work.
I don't like recommending other thing on here unless it's needed as you may have a bad Pi5 experience.
If that is going to happen you may be better off with an device with an Intel iGPU, maybe these Intel N100 boxes for about the same price as an 8GB Pi5 all in. They are also small and low power.
Or see if an old phone can do it all for you.
