Unless your drive is full of data that you have no way to backup* or you need to physically connect it to a Windows box I strongly recommend switching to ext4 or another Linux native filesystem.
As for bedna's suggestion of adding the nofail mount option, that will allow boot to continue but will likely cause further problems e.g. processes writng to the root partition instead of to the drive, processes failing to start because the drive isn't there, and so on.
*: which really isn't a good idea if you care about the data.
