use a passive heatsink i.e. https://geekworm.com/products/h502?_pos ... 9b6e&_ss=r and don't use the active cooler (as you can't change the firmware to stop it from spinning at full speed on boot)

The CPU will throttle without you taking action.

sorry, but kind of 'script' do you speak of? The fan is under kernel control via hwmon driver. No 'freaky scripts' are needed. Just understand how the control meachnism is working --> use the forum search as that has been discussed in several threats

a script to keep setting the fan to 1/4 from the file /sys/class/thermal/cooling_device0/cur_state
