So because some third party package hasn't been updated, you throw out 2 releases of the operating system? (Bullseye came between Buster and Bookworm). I don't even believe xtrx is in the standard apt repos, so it appears to be some random thing installed that you haven't updated.
As always, make sure to check statements like this by checking the official Packages files for the distro.
For debian and ubuntu this is simple and can be done at https://packages.debian.org/ and https://packages.ubuntu.com/ respectively (websites that parse the apt repos and display it in an easily searchable manner).

`xtrx-dkms` is absolutely available in the official repos https://packages.debian.org/bookworm/xtrx-dkms . Making such a statement is harmful to the community and could easily have been avoided.
