Interfacing (DSI, CSI, I2C, etc.) • Re: SPI display for RPI5 with dtoverlay?

Like a number of self professed makers I wear several hats - Viota Ltd is one of them - a startup I formed back in 2020 with a vision to build a small desktop computer called the Pi-Cube around the CM4 module. It was put on ICE when the pandemic caused the supply chains to dry up. I may bring it back to life when the CM5 appears. If you look you'll notice there is no LCD in the Cube design nor any plans for one. Another HAT I wear is as owner of a small WISP out in Costa Rica and I have small stakes in a number of tech startup ventures.

I have been a maker all my life and now that I'm supposed to be retired it is more a hobby than anything else. Most of the businesses I have started over the years have begun this way - by 'making' the first POCs and prototypes from the back of my garage. My OP made it clear that I might make this project available to others if it can be brought to life. If that happens I plan to open source the hardware by making the CAD files available to those who want to build or improve or extend the original case design and carrier boards. And it would be nice to extend that open source ethos to any software that might be necessary to bring this project to life. It's up to you whether you share your efforts or not share them. I respect that choice. The point I was making is what you paint as a straightforward task is well beyond most makers capabilities, mine included. Notro understood that point well enough, and you are clearly an intelligent guy so I'm sure you do too.

If your remark was intended to imply I'm looking for something for nothing whilst planning to profit from it then please take me up on my previous offer to commercialise my request and PM me with your price. If I can afford it I will fund it - and then I'll be happy to post it here so that others who need it can use it and share it.
