I think you may have misunderstood my previous post a little. What I meant was that it’s important to talk and share your work because that increases the chances of something interesting happening. Staying quiet and doing nothing usually leads to, well, nothing—it was generally directed at people, not anyone specific. My comment wasn’t directed specifically at the RPi engineers. They are, without a doubt, world-class specialists with an impressive track record, as proven by the fifth generation of their SBC—a global success.I think you may grossly overestimate the effect of what your design proposal can have with the level of detail and skill shown there. You said that of course you don't plan to produce anything. There are people that already produced 5 generations of highly popular boards. It needs some skills and focus to details you are probably not aware of. Do you really think there is something in your proposal that they did not think of? Do you really think they are "sitting quietly at home" waiting for "sharing ideas" from someone like you (or me) and that without it "nothing will happen at all"?It's a shame that we can't openly discuss our problems and expectations. I understand that we don't live in an ideal world, but I believe it's worth having discussions and sharing ideas because it increases the chances of something interesting happening. Sitting quietly at home ensures that nothing will happen at all.
And BTW you definitely can openly discuss problems and expectations. People do it here all the time.
My original post was meant to serve as a starting point for further discussion. Some people will want to engage and explore the ideas, while others might dismiss it as pointless or not worth the effort. That’s life.
I choose to surround myself with people who are open to discussion, not those who prefer to complain. When I don’t like something, I take action to change it instead of waiting for it to fix itself or relying on others to decide for me. Complaining leads nowhere. It’s simply a difference in mindset and approach to life.
A post like mine is often the kind that sparks longer discussions involving many users. This is also a method to animate and activate the community. I firmly believe that the community is a crucial part of projects like RPi, and it’s worth nurturing, engaging, and growing it—whether the topic is this one or something entirely different.
