Sorry, I wasn't clear. My suggestion was too, outside of SYSTEMD, run your program from a terminal window as you've specified in the service. e.g.
This also leads to the question, under what circumstances, not using SYSTEMD, do you get your program to to work, 'sensor.py' to run.
