I am running a 4GB Raspberry Pi 5 with the latest release of Raspberry Pi OS. When I first set it up everything was fine. I could use Chromium to watch videos on YouTube, Netflix,Hulu, Criterion Channel and a few others. Recently videos no longer will load. They start and then they just freeze on the opening frame and show a circle like it is trying to load but can't. I am outputting at 1080p.
It is not a bandwith issue as I have tried this over ethernet as well as wifi and get the same results. I can do anything else on the Pi and the browser is fine and loads pages quickly.
The only thing that might have broken Chromium is I installed Kodi and used Kodi Fullscreen to watch videos on my Plex server. Those run and work fine, but I started noticing the loading issues after using Kodi. Rebooting the Pi fixed the issue the first couple of times it happened, but now nothing will fix it. Shutting down, rebooting and I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chromium. I can't get videos to play.
Does anyone have any idea what could cause this issue?
Thank you.
